1.       当电炉第次使用或长期停用后再次使用时，必须进行烘炉，烘炉时间温度200度，打开炉门四个小时，200度-400度，关闭炉门两个小时，400度-600度关闭炉门两个小时，使用时，炉温不得超过高温度，以免烧坏电热元件，并禁止向炉膛内灌注各种液体及易溶解的金属，电炉好在低于高温度50度以下工作，此时电热元件有较长寿命。

2.       电炉和控制器必须在相对温度不超过85%，没有导电尘埃或爆炸性气体和腐蚀性气体的场所工作。凡附有油脂之类金属材质及树脂，需进行加热时，有大量发挥性气体将影响和腐蚀电热元件表面，使之烧毁和缩短寿命，因此加热时应及时预防，不但加热元件异断而且电偶也会被腐蚀，使寿命低，并且易导致烧毁炉丝的同时将炉膛击穿。
