RECONSTITUTION:

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml.

The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers ａnd store at 4°

C for 1 week or –

20°

C for future use.

STORAGE CONDITIONS:

The lyophilized IGF-BP1 is best-stored desiccated below 0°

C. Reconstituted IGF-BP1 should

be stored at working aliquots at -20°

DESCRIPTION:

Human IGF-BP1 is a 25.4 kDa cysteine-rich secreted protein expressed in liver, decidual, and

kidneys ａnd is the most abundant IGF-BP in amniotic fluid. Levels of IGF-BP1 in serum are

lowest after food. IGF-BP1 binds both IGF-I and IGF-II with equal affinity. Phosphorylated

IGF-BP1 hinders IGF actions, whereas nonphosphorylated IGF-BP1 is stimulatory.

Recombinant human IGF-BP1 is a single polypeptide consisting of 255 amino acid residues

with N-terminal His-tag..

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY:

The ED50 as determined by its ability to inhibit IGF-I induced proliferation of NUC-1 cells is

~100 ng/ml.
